ASUS PCE AC68 CHANGES FROM 5GHZ DRIVER
I have also downloaded the latest driver from the asus website. FYI: I have a wifi range extender in my room, but i don't think that it is providing any interference. It seems like its not my router issue, and that my clients can't detect. Fastest Wi-Fi standard: 802.11ac: - The PCE-AC68 uses Broadcoms new 5th generation Wi-Fi 802.11ac chipset to reach speeds of up to 1.3Gbit/s through the 5GHz.
ASUS PCE AC68 CHANGES FROM 5GHZ UPDATE
Below is a screenshot of Netspot showing all the signals in my area. ASUS USB-AC68 Dual-band AC1900 USB 3.0 Wifi Adapter with Included Cradle, Wi-Fi speeds up to 1300 Mbps 5GHz and 600 Mbps 2.4GHz. Mine started playing up after the last Windows update and would not connect to my 5Ghz band but only to 2.4Ghz.

There are no problems using Channel 36 to 64 however, clients can't even detect the SSID if I use Channel 100 to 140. Furthermore, the PCE-AC68 connects to the 2.4Ghz at crappy speeds. Cannot use 5GHz band Wi-Fi from channels 100-140. I tried switching to powerline adapters, but they have their own set of issues in my usage. At the same location, my LG G4 can detect the 5Ghz network. I've tried changing driver versions, I even got a replacement through Asus, changed router settings, tried everything that came to mind that could be causing this, at a dead end now. When I did have the A6210 I didn't get a chance to use pingplotter but I didn't feel the latency spikes in game. When using the PCE-AC68 there are clear latency spikes, while the 6P shows none of that. I've shown this by pinging one of the Rocket League servers using pingplotter. Any other recommendations would be great. I tried rerolling drivers, looking at other forums for possible answers with no success. The Nexus 6P and A6210 adapters do not show the same latency spikes. Having issues connecting to my 5Ghz AC channel with the Asus PCE-AC68 network card. I've tested other adapters like the Netgear A6210 (which I returned for other reasons) and I've used USB tethering with my Nexus 6P, all of which are connected to the same 5GHZ wifi network from my Netgear R7000. Found out it was intermittent but giant latency spikes (from ~30ms to 100+ms) for one moment.įrom what I've tested, the PCE-AC68 is the culprit. The PCE-AC68 uses Broadcoms new 5th generation Wi-Fi 802.11ac chipset to reach speeds of up to 1.3 Gbit/s through the 5 GHz band, which is three times. Now that I've been playing Rocket League for a good amount of time, this stuttering has manifested itself in every game that I've played, and I've been trying to figure out why ever since. Ever since I bought my Asus PCE-AC68 I've noticed during online gaming a stutter in the gameplay (noticed in CS:GO), I never actually thought it was a problem with my networking, thought it was the game itself.
